Safety on board: what parents should know

Children count as guests. Every yacht has a maximum number of guests, and each child counts towards it just like an adult. Glow 55 and Wish 55 take up to 15 guests, Fiesta 56 takes up to 20. So a party of 10 children and 5 parents fits Glow 55 exactly, while 12 children and 6 adults need Fiesta 56.

• Adults supervise the children at all times – the crew runs the yacht, the parents watch the kids.
• The captain and crew are on board for the whole cruise and take care of the yacht itself.
• Children’s life jackets: send us the ages of the children on WhatsApp and ask the team what is available for your yacht before the day.
• Sun and heat: plan time inside. Glow 55 has an air-conditioned lounge below, and Fiesta 56 has an air-conditioned lounge with soft seats – a cool place for a break, a snack or a short nap for the youngest guests.

Timing: how long and what time of day

Two hours is plenty for small children. It covers the cake, photos and music, and nobody gets tired or bored. Most of the fleet has a 2-hour minimum, so a 2-hour cruise on Glow 55 is AED 1,600 for the whole yacht. Older children and bigger family groups often enjoy 3 hours – on Glow 55 that is AED 2,400.

Morning or late afternoon

Start times run every 30 minutes from 08:00 to 23:30, so you can fit the cruise around naps, school and bedtime. With young children, a morning cruise or a late-afternoon start usually works well: the sun is softer than at midday, and the kids are home at a normal hour.

Every yacht has speakers, so make a playlist with the birthday child’s favourite songs. A photographer can join on request – handy, because parents are usually busy with the cake and the kids. Soft drinks and water are included, and fruit platters can be arranged on request, quoted on WhatsApp.
